We want to Welcome You to The Old Paths Christian Church (OPCC), a family-integrated church. We desire to be a people devoted to the Scriptures and committed to living for the glory of God. Rather than emphasizing church growth or a seeker-sensitive gospel, we seek to strike at something more biblical and historical.

 

At the OPCC, the Word of almighty God takes precedence. Above all else we believe in the supremacy of Scripture and in rightly dividing the Word of truth.

 

In an age of uncertainty, skepticism, easy-believism, and abstract, cold preaching, OPCC is committed to glorifying God by preaching and applying His Word. We firmly believe that the pulpit is the throne of the Word of God. It is not a place for comedy, drama, storytelling, conversation, or the displaying of human talents, and intellectualism, but the authoritative proclamation of "Thus saith the LORD!"

In addition to this, the OPCC equally emphasizes heartfelt, God-centered worship and praise. We have seen far too many churches and movements settle for all head and no heart or all heart and no head. We desire to cultivate a more reverent and awe-aspiring atmosphere of worship. God has given the OPCC a vision for God-enthralled worship that is soaked and saturated in biblical truth. We praise and worship God through historic hymns and contemporary songs that have a sound biblical foundation.        

Finally, we desire to take our emphasis on preaching God's Word and worship and apply it to practical outreach. We see the world as lost and confused. Many who attend churches all around our local area are being brought up by weak and faulty presentations of Christianity or abstract, impersonal teachings. As a result, false conversions are commonplace, giving way to mass confusion and major misunderstandings of the true nature of the faith. Therefore, much of our outreach is aimed not only at the lost but also at the misinformed, and to teach people the Way more accurately, that they might come to truly know Christ as Lord and Savior.
